Limited Edition Print of 150
50cm x 70cm
Going Underground is part of Youngerman's 'Musical Routes' print series.
This design features the real roads and famous landmarks of 1970s central London, where most of the real roads and landmarks have been changed to songs and people associated with The Jam.
The vintage inspired map is based on the true region of London as it was in the 1970s, with name changes in the very streets and locations associated with the band.
The Jam paid homage to their Soho stomping ground in many songs, such as Carnaby Street and 'A' Bomb in Wardour St, and played live in Newport Street in 1976 to a packed crowd, which included a young Joe Strummer from The Clash.
The 'target' is such a recognisable symbol of the Mod movement and gives the print a standout classic look associated with the timeless style.
With permission from A-Z the design is hand drawn from an original map of the period.
Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler have the first three in the edition.
Each artwork is hand drawn from an original period map of the region with permission of Geographers' A-Z Map Co. Ltd. 2017.

It's for my best friends 50th. Was concerned as there are only 150 I was going to miss out if left too long!
As soon as I saw it I thought, that's it!!
